Coachella 2013 Preview

What better way to get acclimated with the bands that will be there other than to put on a playlist and listen to it over and over?

There are some really good bands that I’m looking forward to seeing. To name a few in no particular order: Modest Mouse, Earl Sweatshirt, The XX, Knife Party, Passion Pit, James Blake, WU TANG CLAN (AHHHHH), The Lumineers, Grizzly Bear, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Metric and Of Monsters And Men AND WU TANG CLAN (because Wu Tang Clan!).

Here are a few videos with an Rdio playlist at the end of the post to get you going:

Earl Sweatshirt – Chum

Up and coming artist out of LA. Really good, just hasn’t released much music yet.

Modest Mouse – The World At Large

Modest Mouse has been a personal fave since high school. They have a lot of older tracks that they likely won’t play, but their newer stuff is still catchy and worth checking out

Purity Ring – Fineshrine (REALLY GOOD!!!)

Amazing in an album. Purity Ring released ‘Shrines’ last summer, and it’s a pretty good album. The first song, Fineshrine, is one of my favorite songs of the past year. Check it out. Now.

James Blake – Retrograde (ALSO REALLY GOOD!!!)

Never listened to much James Blake until I heard Retrograde. Unreal song that got me to listen to his other album, the self-title ‘James Blake’.

Of Monsters And Men – Little Talks

Everyone’s heard this song. It’s even on a Discover Card commercial. Doesn’t mean it’s not good though.

Knife Party – Internet Friends

I just had to. Because Knife Party.

I could do this all day, or you could just hit up the rdio playlist.
